 Call it a double-bill and leave it at that: 

you'd say! 

But that's way too easy ~ for one such as me! 

It cannot be otherwise, though: for when two bands 

of the (Canadian, but still) magnitude as 

Emily Haines' METRIC... and Sam Roberts' Band 

actually get to share a stage - I've gotta ask 

WHO exactly is being called an OPENING ACT here!?  

But that's just ME... 

Indeed... 

But that's another story! 

Sam's BAND has been playing on (and on and on) 

for quite some time now - they've perfected their sound 

and, verily, each and every song of theirs is worth 

its share of gold...! Or bitcoins. Or both! 

The band certainly contributed to the soundtrack 

of our lives ---  ALL OF US, yes! 

METRIC, on the other hand, has enjoyed a wider success 

with many of its tunes playing in the foreign market that pays 

(the wretched, enemy now, USofA... thanks to Drumpf!) 

Emily Haines, by the sheer virtue of her feminity, does 

possess more melodious vocal chords than Sam - 

that cannot be contested! 

SO... WHO OPENS FOR WHOM? 

METRIC or BAND

Ultimately, it doesn't even matter at all...!!! 

They are both equally awesome ~ and cannot "share the stage" literally 

as Sam doesn't need Emily to sing his songs 

nor does she need him to butt in on Metric material...! 

They are two complete musical groups that each take the stage 

deliver their stuff with utmost oompf and then leave 

that stage - for the "next act" as it may be...!!! 

For if both of them were performing at the same time, 

on that stage, it might be sensory overload for you, so... 

Let's not go there - EH?
