And as we listen to this absolutely perfect
mixtape - it is as if it was tailor-made for
this occasion, verily - we can find time
to review all the ills of the world
as we are preventively confined...
in lockdown... or sick.
Conclusively assessed, as follow:
we are sick, alright -
sick as a species.
Humankind is very, very sick;
it cannot evolve as it doesn't want to.
What prevails is the immediate gain;
without thought to what lies ahead -
what comes after... What there may be.
Humankind is destructive -
borderline evil.
We are the disease that is
afflicting the planet.
It is not any other way.
NATURE... finds ways to tell us
that we have gone too far.
Some will say that the novel form
of coronavirus that plagues us now
would have come to be anyway -
regardless of the questionable
dietary habits of Wuhan folks.
It probably would have.
But that doesn't erase the fact
that those horrifying ''wet markets''
are an abomination that must be
eradicated from the face of the earth
- sooner than later.
However, as far as abominations go,
humankind is the champion.
There are so many others out there
and they are not about to be eradicated
any time soon... As such, since
these things endure, so will
the well-deserved ''wake-up
calls'' we get, fomr time to time...
such as this pandemic.
We may never learn yet
- collectively as in this life -
but we will certainly
suffer for it
- which is good; for the soul -
and we will pay the ultimate price
which, in turn, may prevent
some of the most stubborn among us
from committing even more
obtuse mistakes - such as...
Pharmaceutical giants
that act like serial killers do, really.
Just one sheer example, that's all...
